one possible (temporary) solution would be to remove php5-uuid from build. It has no reverse dependencies and hopefully upstream will solve the problem before wheezy is frozen. Please let me know if you disagree (or even agree) with this solution. I will prepare NMU with php5-uuid removed, so PHP 5.4 can migrate to testing and you can reintroduce the package after the fix is in the place. OK?
