This is caused by the following regression in gcc: http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=52841
This patch includes a workaround for the problem: https://github.com/mana/mana/commit/86154175f63a7f1a4b73b3727314ac760d83834e Note also that by default mana compiles in C++0x mode. This should be turned off when Guichan (one of the dependencies) is not compiled in C++0x mode, because with GCC 4.7.0 this leads to binary compatibility problems causing linker failure.
