This is a grave issue, and I think I reproduce it, only it is systematic here. Can you run latexila from a terminal emulator and send me the output when it fails to start?
Well in fact I cannot reproduce it, latexila was failing here for local reasons (specifically, obsolete remaining GSettings schemas from an old local installation of LaTeXila). So, I rely on you for providing me the details.
