By default codelite sets the code-page to ISO-8859-1 (Latin1)
To fix this, the user should set the encoding (I suggest using UTF8):

So this bug report can be closed.
In my book, "upstream didn't understand the bug second time in a row"
doesn't sound like a good reason to close it.
