The btrfs “Too many links” bug (http://bugs.debian.org/642603, http://bugs.debian.org/645009, http://bugs.debian.org/654596) has reappeared in 1:1.7.11-1~exp0 because, when the no-hardlinks patch was merged upstream as v1.7.11-rc0~47^2, NO_HARDLINKS was renamed to NO_INSTALL_HARDLINKS. debian/rules needs to be updated accordingly, and the migration code in git.preinst might need to be adjusted.
