Using an i386 chroot on an amd64 machine works quite fine :)
Results:
| amd64 chroot | i386 chroot
without patch | PASS | FAIL
with patch | PASS | PASS
(Please note that I've only built the package and not checked the
patch itself or used the package afterwards.)
