Out of interest, does using inputattach (from the package of the same name; see /usr/share/doc/inputattach/README.Debian for setup instructions) work with your device? (That should use the standard xserver-xorg-input-evdev driver, which contrary to xserver-xorg-input-penmount is still being maintained.) Cheers, Julien
