Dear Maintainer,

after upgrade ifupdonw to 0.7.7 on debian testing ifdown has Segmentation fault
while bring down vlan interfaces, how to reprodice:

iface eth0.2 inet static
       address 192.168.1.1
       netmask 255.255.255.0
       broadcast 192.168.1.255

ifup eth0.2, then ifdown eth0.2

root@prototype:~# ifup eth0.2
root@prototype:~# ifdown eth0.2
Segmentation fault

dmesg:
[1083455.154702] ifdown[29972]: segfault at 0 ip b76af720 sp bfec5be0 error 4
in libc-2.13.so[b7637000+147000]

tested on several systems with same results.

also, if vlan package installed, ifup try add vlan interface twice, firs
through ip, second through pre-up script which give error about already existet
interface:

root@prototype:~# ifup eth0.2
Set name-type for VLAN subsystem. Should be visible in /proc/net/vlan/config
ERROR: trying to add VLAN #2 to IF -:eth0:-  error: File exists
