Hi! I can confirm this problem here with Michael's new packages. According to this thread[1], it's a problem that only occurs with certain specific versions of evolution.
The problem here went away after I upgraded my evolution from 2.4.1 to 2.5.3, so I guess a versioned depends of the evolution2_sync plugin on this version of evolution should fix the bug.
