1.1 is as far as i know supposed to be in the next ubuntu release, which is earlier than the time that we'll freeze.

And since the winter^Hfreeze is coming, so I am filling a blocker bug,
so we don't end up with "alpha" lxc in Debian jessie (the rc1 is
wheezy is also not a good example).

8.0~rc1 in wheezy works perfectly, except for the custom debian lxc-debian, but that is another story belonging to the RM team.
