I can agree that the package can be of no interest for you when
it breaks the C++ mode, but it can be no way an argument to make
this bug RC since all features of the package are not broken, on
the contrary.
And, fwiw, I am absolutely against upgrading the package _now_ to
0.45. I'll look more closely at the package instead to see if some
smaller fix can be found.
