I guess, no nameserver. On BSD, a single line “lookup file”,
but I think glibc’s syntax differs. Best to ask one of the
src:glibc maintainers, methinks.

Hm okay. That means “lookup file dns” IIRC (no Linux system
at hand right now), which should be fine with no nameservers
given, so we need not touch that file, AIUI.
