I indeed don't really see any point in the following in gui/Makefile: TEST_DIR=test $$(basename "$<") = "$<" || { echo "Please run 'make' in directory '$$(dirname "$<")' first"; exit 1; } So, I'll do a first lazy test and just recompile without this line..:-) Anyway, that bug is now not so urgent to fix (understand, for jessie): it sadly prevented versions after 6.05 to enter testing and thus be in jessie, but I'm afraid it's too late now.
