Hello,
This is a serious bug filed against your package because it
build-depends on xlibs-dev, which as announced in [1] a while ago, is
no longer available in sid. This makes your package fail to build from
source.
I've attached the patch for xtoolwait to this message. I can't upload it
myself, because I never actually completed the Debian new-maintainer
process. Thorsten Sauter sponsored the original upload (before that, the
package was orphaned).
That said, xtoolwait hardle ever changes, so as long as long as somebody
else (e.g. Thorsten?) wants to build and upload the packages, I don't mind
continuing to maintain it on a sponsorship basis.
Cheers!
- Dwayne

Xtoolwait notably decreases the startup time of your X sessions,

X session startup. Xtoolwait starts one X client in the background,
waits until it has mapped a window and then exits.
