You may wish to file such bug report to symfony instead (for not being up to date) and make it affect php-doctrine-cache-bundle, or even file it to both packages (php-doctrine-cache-bundle,symfony) in doubt. symfony (>= 2.6) was already in NEW anyway, so only patience was required.
