I had the issue that taskbar and panels as well as desktop were real windows and on DebConf I learned that this is currently fixable by downgrading to testing versions of kf5 window system as follows: apt-get install libkf5windowsystem5=5.12.0-1 libkf5windowsystem-data=5.12.0-1 Can you try whether it helps for you? I.e. use newest breeze, but downgrade kf5 window systems to the version in testing. Thank you, -- Martin
