Support for kernel 4.4 was introduced in xtables-addons 2.10 that you can find in "testing" suite. Therefore I'm closing this bug as "invalid". Besides "xtables-addons-dkms" probably will work better for you than "xtables-addons-source". Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed.
