This is currently being worked on upstream at <https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/293894/> and additionally tracked at <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T134561>.
I additionally was able to fix up all the packaging to be compatible with PHP7 and use dh_php, but the upstream patch is currently segfaulting.
