Hey,

after dist-upgrading (and rebooting) my Debian unstable system  the sound is
completely gone.

When using the gnome system configuration and playing test sounds,
pavucontrol
shows that something is played actually, however there is not a single tone
coming out of the speechers. Furthermore the field left to the "test
speeechers" button in gnome control is blank - I'm not sure if this was
always
the case.#

In order to sort this issue out, I've already prepared a verbose log of
pulseaudio - hopefully this will help.
