Package: network-manager
Version: 1.2.4-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

network-manager-1.4.0-2 will not allow to connect to Wifi. Downgrading to
1.2.4-2 immediately fixes the problem
and that is repeatable: upgrading to 1.4.0-2 breaks wifi again.

Steps to downgrade were:

sudo dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/network-manager_1.2.4-2_amd64.deb
sudo sudo dpkg -i /var/cache/apt/archives/network-manager-
gnome_1.2.4-1_amd64.deb

journalctl -e shows multiple logs for network manager:

NetworkManager[29012]: <error> [1472400318.1585] platform-linux: do-change-
link[3]: failure changing link: failure 23 (Too many open files in system)
NetworkManager[29012]: <warn> [1472400318.1585] device (wlan0): set-hw-addr:
failed to set MAC address to BE:EA:1E:BA:CC:1B (scanning) (unspecified)

Changes:
 network-manager (1.4.0-4) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * Drop override for dh_auto_test. We don't explicitly need to dump the log
files as dh_auto_test runs with VERBOSE=1 by default.
   * Fix MAC address randomization.
Cherry-pick a couple of upstream commits which work around driver bugs
when MAC address randomization is used. (Closes: #835822, #835553)
   * Bump debhelper compat level to 10.
   * Don't try to decrypt PKCS#8 key if no password is supplied. This fixes
failures with GnuTLS 3.5.4 which supports PBES1-DES-CBC-MD5 now.
