Package: src:exabgp Version: 3.4.16-1 Severity: serious Dear maintainer:
I tried to build this package in stretch with "dpkg-buildpackage -A" (which is what the "Arch: all" autobuilder would do to build it) but it failed: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [...] debian/rules:11: recipe for target 'override_dh_auto_test' failed make[1]: *** [override_dh_auto_test] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' debian/rules:4: recipe for target 'build-indep' failed make: *** [build-indep] Error 2 dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules build-indep gave error exit status 2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It does not always fail, but it does not always build ok, and this failure is an example. Sorry, I don't know how to reproduce the failure, but the build log (which is attached) gives a very good hint about why this can happen, as it contains a line like this: failed, a test is taking more than the allocated time An autobuilder does not necessarily have a constant and predictable CPU speed. The same machine could be doing other things in parallel. Therefore, any test which tries to check that things are ok by measuring execution times should better be disabled. Thanks.
