You don't have to convert it. It can be used by Quilt as-is.

The changes are targeted for Stretch. I don't see any reason to test
with Jessie. Did I miss something?

could use the quilt patch I’ve attached here.


I've had a quick chat on IRC with Gennaro and I know he is working on
a backward compatible patch to make it work with both OpenSSL 1.0 and 1.1.
So I'd wait until he is ready. In the worst case scenario, we can still
fallback to OpenSSL 1.0 to give us more time to work on the patch.
