I had a closer look at m68k, which surprised me if the problem is all big endian machines. And the only reason the build succeeded in m68k, I believe, is that the dh_auto_test script did not run the test suite.
This make me believe the problem is simply that this library only work on little endian machines. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen
