Package: s-nail Version: 14.8.14-2 Severity: serious The mailx alternative that s-nail used to provide has been removed in 14.8.14-2 because of #846062. However, s-nail still provides the mailx virtual package, and this breaks reverse dependencies: if no other mailx provider is installed, /usr/bin/mail disappears from the system.
Please drop the now incorrect "Provides: mailx". -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-rc8-nouveau (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages s-nail depends on: ii base-files 9.7 ii libc6 2.24-7 ii libcomerr2 1.43.3-1 ii libgssapi-krb5-2 1.15-1 ii libidn11 1.33-1 ii libk5crypto3 1.15-1 ii libkrb5-3 1.15-1 ii libssl1.1 1.1.0c-2 ii libtinfo5 6.0+20161126-1 s-nail recommends no packages.
