 Be sure to update your plugins to the latest version:
 - gstreamer0.10-plugins-base to 0.10.3-1
 - gstreamer0.10-plugins-good to 0.10.2-1

 and let me know whether that helps.

 It would also be interesting to run rhythmbox from a terminal to see
 warnings (or check ~/.xsession-errors), and if it's not enough, to run
 "rhythmbox -d".
