I confirm the problem.
I have looked into it and in fact i had two problems.First, the initrd was broken. The kernel said "write error" uncompressing initrd. Cause seems to be the intel_microcode package, as disabling it fixes this problem. The broken initrd had just intel files in it.
Second, after fixing initrd, the live system can't boot either. The /sbin/init symbolic link to /lib/systemd/systemd is missing.
