The toplevel cjk Makefile runs configure and make chained with ";". In the presence of errors from configure, it still attempts to run make. This behaviour can result in errors going undetected and thus violates Debian policy section 4.6. It's not an upstream bug, because the offending code was introduced in a Debian-specific patch. Helmut
