For a generic lack of /etc/hosts, yeah, it'd be the best solution.
In this case, though, I'd rather patch "random text file that's always
present" to something else.


Thanks for enlightening us about /etc/hosts coming from netbase, though!
There's more than just these two bugs where its lack appears.
