About the archive rebuild: The rebuild was done on EC2 VM instances from
Amazon Web Services, using a clean, minimal and up-to-date chroot. Every
failed build was retried once to eliminate random failures.

This FTBFS was a bug in acr 1.6.1-1 which generated a broken configure
script.  It has been fixed in acr 1.6.2-1, I have successfully built
tudu with the new acr version.
