I've been dragging my feet on changing to a 2.6 kernel, and actually got around to compiling one just a week ago. Then had to leave town for a while. Now I notice the source tree has some updates, so I need to recompile another kernel. But, if I install this patch for the currently running 2.4 kernel, I need to put back the old libstdc++6 package when I get around to installing the 2.6 kernel?
