A team upload was made by Mo Zhou to remove multiarch-support pre-dependency as well as fixing the FTBFS. However, the problem is not completely solved. Package hepmc still FTBFS on several release architectures. Mo Zhou told me that he will not attempt to fix those FTBFS since he is not confident enough to provide a satisfactory patch, especially when it's a scientific software from CERN. -- Regards, Boyuan Yang
