That's because this was a bug in libtool, after all, and the version of libtool in sid is already fixed. Sorry for not noticing it before. However, please note that "unreproducible" is not the same as "already fixed". If you try to build the package in buster right now, which is what I said I did in my bug report, you will get the failure. So, this is not an X-File, but just a bug which now only happens in buster because the fixed libtool has not reached testing yet. Nevermind, I'm doing all the proper reassign/affects/etc. Thanks.
