I get the same symptoms as #5 after upgrading from 52.9.0esr-1~deb9u1 to 60.2.0esr-1~deb9u2 on a Raspberry Pi (armhf architecture):
firefox-esr crashes immediately after startup, even in safe mode, even when started by a new user with a nearly-empty home directory. Terminal output is $ firefox --safe-mode ExceptionHandler::GenerateDump cloned child 5756 ExceptionHandler::WaitForContinueSignal waiting for continue signal... ExceptionHandler::SendContinueSignalToChild sent continue signal to child $ There are no kernel messages, unlike #906570. Trying to open the profile manager yields identical results. Of course I realize this has nothing to do with SSE2 in my case. :) Should I open another bug?
