reassign 884352 src:python-virtualenv severity 884352 normal thanks I agree with the conclusion of Nicholas D Steeves that this is not a bug in virtualenvwrapper but a side effect of how virtualenv works. It explicitly creates user specific Python virtual environments at places in the file system that are not known to the package at install or update time.
A potential fix or advice for a workaround might be incorporated in the
virtualenv package itself.
I'm downgrading the severity of this bug because I do not see how this long
known behaviour is release critical.
