Package: nvidia-glx Version: 1.0.8178-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
The latest nvidia-glx will not install because it depends on nvidia-kernel-1.0.8756. This is not available, but nvidia-kernel-1.0.8756-4 does appear to be available. Presumably, because the version number doesn't match exactly, it doesn't pick this up as resolving the dependency. This issue causes nvidia-glx to be uninstallable. -- Package-specific info: uname -r: Linux shuttle 2.6.15-1-k7 #2 Mon Mar 6 15:42:39 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux /proc/version: Linux version 2.6.15-1-k7 (Debian 2.6.15-8) ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) (gcc version 4.0.3 20060212 (prerelease) (Debian 4.0.2-9)) #2 Mon Mar 6 15:42:39 UTC 2006 /proc/driver/nvidia/version: 0000:03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV18 [GeForce4 MX - nForce GPU] (rev a3) -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-k7 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages nvidia-glx depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libx11-6 6.9.0.dfsg.1-5 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 6.9.0.dfsg.1-5 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii nvidia-kernel-2.6.15 1.0.8178-2+2.6.15-8 NVIDIA binary kernel module for Li di xserver-common 6.9.0.dfsg.1-5 files and utilities common to all nvidia-glx recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
