That suggests something wrong with the device :-(. Does it show up when you run lsusb? Mine shows Bus 001 Device 039: ID 0403:6015 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd Bridge(I2C/SPI/UART/FIFO) dmesg might show more useful information; look around the time you plugged the TRNG in.
