In fact, the new version of mobf needs minetest mods available within
the animalmaterials modpack. Without those, it doesn't bring anything
more than error messages on the screen (and that only if you disable the
buggy appearance of a "debian" among the mods of the pack... but that is
bug #827669).
I'll try to package the animalmaterials modpack as
minetest-mod-animalmaterials. Then this package will have to be modified
to depend on it.
