Package: postgresql-common
Version: 207
Severity: important

when trying to start service postgresql@12-main (the same with 11)
service using systemctl start postgresql@12-main
starting the server fails, the log file says it failed to read
/etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.key (no read permissions)
ls -l that file says (dates redacted):
-rw-r----- 1 root ssl-cert 1704 MMM DD YYYY ssl-cert-snakeoil.key
ls -l the directoy says (dates redacted):
drwxr-x--- 2 root ssl-cert 323 MMM DD YYYY private

The user postgres is member of group ssl-cert.

According to the upstream docs, this is as it should be.

However, starting a postgresql cluser manually via
a su -s /bin/bash postgres session works normally.

My current workaroud is to start the postgresql server manually
after every bootup, but this is tedious. I am at loss what
the cause might be.
