Hello Marco,

Imho the major point is that dev packages should not be versioned to
allow migrating from 1 to 2 (at some point) without having to change
all rdep source packages. Debian usually tries to avoid shipping
multiple versions of a shared library in a release.

Are libxcrypt[12]-dev API compatible in some way?
