The Debian package is from the December 28 release (hence the version
number 0.0.0+git20191228-1). Which one are you trying?

oops sorry, should not have worked by night. The fact is that when I
used the package, I go the error I mentioned. Then I removed it then
installed the Git repo one building manually, and it worked. But now I
re-installed the package and works too, and it is the same release indeed.
