Personally speaking: if you're already working on debian packaging, my 
preference is to just step aside and let you carry on.  If you're willing, 
then I think it mainly becomes a problem of what to name the source package as 
the new sources are more than just xmille.

I don't mind co-maintaining but, realistically, I won't be much help.  

If you are NOT interested in maintaining the package, then I can continue.  
Unless Adrian wants to do it?  ;-)
