I have no idea what you mean and this is definitively not "grave". Tried to reproduce with different settings and chromium 93.0.4577.82-1 and it just works. Maybe some issue with other software on your system which is manipulating properties? Maybe gijsbers finds something. Does it work if you downgrade icewm (and icewm-common) to the Testing version?
