It seems Mike has already been active in that bug (and even found it himself a ~month ago ^^) and indicated he'll backport it (AFAIU). Which I hope really happens... I know there is no official security support for unstable, but as this bug shows: many people (including DDs) seem to use it on their working systems and it's probably not so good for all these to have to stick with an old version with plenty of high-rated security issues.
