Hi Alexandre, I'm aware of this problem, but the fix is not so easy because I should transition the pytables packge to adopt the new Python policy:
http://wiki.debian.org/DebianPython/NewPolicy I've tried to do this yesterday with the new 1.3.2 pytables version, but not completely succeeded. So, as I'm a bit busy lately, I'll probably ask for a NMU version until I can get the package properly transitioned.
