Package: update-manager
Version: 0.42.2ubuntu22-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

A recent update for unstable caused the removal of update-manager (and
consequently update-notifier).

Upon trying to reinstall update-manager, I'm told:

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
  update-manager: Depends: python2.4-gnome2 but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages

Trying to install python2.4-gnome2 tells me:
  python2.4-gnome2: Depends: python2.4-gtk2 (>= 2.4)

It seems that python2.4-gtk2 has disappeared, to be replaced by python-gtk2.
