Control: tag -1 + moreinfo
Hi David,
it does not show up in e.g. the font list in AbiWord,
or the font list in Konsole, etc., despite being a TrueType font supposedly.
As you may have figured out, "creep2" is a "special" font because it is
shipped as a TrueType font but it contains a bitmap font. I am not
surprised that the font does not work *in some software*, but not all of
them.
I can at least reproduce this in AbiWord: the font seems absent from the
font list.
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
See attached a screenshot of the font package being successfully used in
the "gnome-terminal" application. I know it as a "works on my machine"
answer, but maybe AbiWord and Konsole are buggy themselves? Can you try
with gnome-terminal to see if it works for you locally? (info-needed)
It does not install correctly,
As far as I am concerned by inspecting the package’s content, the font
looks correctly installed on the system:
$ dpkg -L fonts-creep2
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/creep2.ttf
If we can confirm that the font does not work on *some* software (but,
again, not all of them), then I think we could re-title this bug
accordingly and reduce its severity.
Bests,
Agathe.
