Could you please try increasing PHP's memory limit (16MB, then 32MB,
etc) and see what value you need to go to to avoid this problem. If you
get to 64MB you can stop.

I'm not saying this is a permanent solution, but it will help to narrow
down what sort of bug this is, eg. PHPwiki just wants too many resources
vs infinite memory allocation loop.
