Package: elpa-snakemake
Version: 2.0.0-2
Severity: serious

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install if
emacs 27 (currently still in bookworm) is already installed. As
per definition of the release team this makes the package too buggy for
a release, thus the severity.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Setting up elpa-snakemake (2.0.0-2) ...

  install/snakemake-2.0.0: byte-compiling for emacs

  In toplevel form:

There needs to be either a
  Depends: emacs-el (>= 1:28)
or an equivaent
  Breaks: (emacs-el (<< 1:28)
or the installation must be skipped if emacs is too old.

cheers,

Andreas
