I couldn't find anything in the release notes which look like a breaking change[0], I've also looked at the release notes for the next release[1] and the problem is that there are a lot of bugfixes (as usual) but it's hard to understand if any of those are for regressions that could be affecting lnav without a better error message. If you manage to get more details about the error (ideally some error being thrown by curl or which call is returning an unexpected output), we might be able to scope this down.
