Source: glib2.0
Version: 2.80.0-10
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software
X-Debbugs-Cc: ft.alban.hun...@mail.com

After update do 2.80.0-10, I cannot type special (e.g. german umlaut letters)
characters or dead keys in all gtk applications and most applications installed
via flatpak. Electron and qt applications seems not to be affected, as well as
other applications such as weston-terminal. I am unsure if this bug is caused
by glib2.0, but I can't find any other culprit in the list of recently upgraded
packages on unstable

The regression in 2.74.6-2+deb12u1 was fixed in 2.74.6-2+deb12u2 as
announced in DSA 5682-2,
<https://lists.debian.org/debian-security-announce/2024/msg00094.html>.
I'm not sure why that information has not reached the bug tracking
system yet.

Similarly the equivalent regression in 2.66.8-1+deb11u2 was fixed in
2.66.8-1+deb11u3.

For testing/unstable users, the equivalent regression in 2.80.0-10 was
fixed in 2.80.1-1.
